Please check you are connecting to the correct OS user who has the privilege/permissions on the directory (Oracle Home).
Issue ‘ldd sqlplus’ to see the shared library dependencies, libclntsh.so.11.1 is an Oracle, but not a system library. So the pre-check does not apply here.
Check if SELinux is running — if so change it to permissive and try.

the problem seems to be in the .bash_profile, when i included the classpath in the .bash_profile the problem of connecting sqlplus became solved. Thanks for your reply guys.
I was having a similar error: ld.so.1: sqlplus: fatal: libclntsh.so.11.1: open failed: No such file or directory
I racked my brain about it a bit, but the solution was simple. . Before you go reinstalling Oracle or thinking about corruption, just be sure that your environment variable $LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set correctly.
In this case, the server had both 10g and 11g installs, and though . oraenv would correctly set the $ORACLE_HOME and $ORACLE_SID for our 11g databases, the $LD_LIBRARY_PATH was still set to look at only the 10g binaries.
SO- the BEST practice is probably to set the $LD_LIBRARY_PATH as +»$ORACLE_HOME/lib»+, and then just re-load your profile when you need to change it.
Obviously, this can be easily accomplished by putting the setting in the Oracle user’s .profile, .bash_profile, or system environment variables, depending on what flavor of OS you are tasting.

or
sqlplus: error while loading shared libraries: /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied
SELinux is enable
two ways to overcome this
First : Disable the SELinux
Second : (i prefer this)
Configure SELinux to allow /u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1 using below command
chcon -t textrel_shlib_t ‘/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1’
Note: change path as per your present directory structure
Many thanks, i got this error while trying to start listener
[oracle@dev
]$ lsnrctl start
lsnrctl: error while loading shared libraries: /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1:
cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied
To solve it, i did the following
from my terminal, i typed
it displayed Enforcing
It was solved by setting SELINUX=permissive in /etc/selinux/config file.

error while loading shared libraries: libclntsh.so.11.1
error while loading shared libraries: libclntsh.so.11.1
Sometimes you may have a 32bit application which try to use the 64bit oracle client.
Solution : install oracle 32bit client and set oracle_home and other parameters accordingly.

This document is being delivered to you via Oracle Support’s Rapid Visibility (RaV) process and therefore has not been subject to an independent technical review.

SYMPTOMS
Unable to run SQR after installation on Linux, getting error: sqr: error while loading shared libraries: libclntsh.so.11.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
CAUSE
Missing Oracle 32-bit client libraries in SQR’s environment.
SQR is only finding the incompatible 64-bit Oracle libraries and throwing an error.
Starting with Oracle 11 the 32-bit client libraries don’t get installed automatically on 64-bit systems.

I get the error message below.
We have made the correction but the suite spot not be able to start the database.
sqlplus: error while loading shared libraries: /opt/oracle/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1: ELF file data encoding not little-endian not
Need your help in resolving this issue.
We have applied the fix for database only and there’s OS patching.
Realize that Oracle provides the PATCH of the DATABASE for different versions of the OS & if you apply the patch to the database for the version of Solaris on a HP version.
then the problems will result.
If sqlplus worked without error before applying the patch & now ENDIAN error reports, problem exists between keyboard and Chair!

Now, this question is there for nearly 20 hours with Oracle Support and I have tried almost possible workaround suggested by Oracle Support (reboot, reinstall and. )
Well I have no doubt in the Support of Oracle asking here on the issue, but to get chance that someone had already faced this same question.
Now, I wish ultimately I find a culprit who are lower than o/p.

1. make sure that you have installed the correct version of GoldenGate. The part number for Oracle 11 g (edelivery.oracle.com) is 26188, not 26187 (99.99% sure this is the exact reason for your error).
2. launch GGSCI in the installation directory (even if you can boot from outside this directory, you need to address LD_LIBRARY_PATH and some other brain damage).
3 make sure that your OS GoldenGate username is at least a member of the group that belongs to your Oracle software owner (for example, owner is oracle, group s/n, so make sure your owner member of dba).
4. from the prompt of your OS, it seems you are using oracle, but in this shell session, is your Oracle environment squared away (ORACLE_HOME and SID, for example)?
I’m starting with Berkeley. So, in order to learn how to use it, I decided to follow the guide getted starting with Berkeley (c++ version).
When I compile the very first example (creating a DB class) with a small main application in dynamic link I do something like this:
———
do
g ++ o MyDb.o — c MyDb.cpp — W — wall — ansi-pedantic
g ++ o to main.c MyDb.o — I /users/n349069/BerkeleyDB.4.7/include-L /users/n349069/BerkeleyDB.4.7/lib-D_GNU_SOURCE-D_REENTRANT /users/n349069/BerkeleyDB.4.7/lib/libdb_cxx-4.7.so
———
But when I try to run my program, I get this error:
——-
. / find
. / find: error while loading shared libraries: libdb_cxx — 4.7.so: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory
——-
As you can see, my install of Berkeley is in a personal directory. Is that what the problem is for this reason?
How can I solve this problem?
Thank you for your help
I try but. nothing changes. I try to do this:
————
command prompt: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/users.n349069/BerkeleyDB.4.7/lib
Please check if you set the variable of environment successfully. To set the environment variable, please use the ‘export’ in this way: «export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/users.n349069/BerkeleyDB.4.7/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH». To see if it is set successfully, please use ‘env’ to see a list of all environment variables and check the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable in the list.
If it does not, please reinstall Berkeley DB. Your message, I’m assuming that you are on * nix platform. You may refer to section 27 «building Berkeley DB for UNIX/POSIX» on http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/toc.html

In access to AOL e-mail via the full version, I can navigate my account (old messages, new messages, spam, etc.) very well, but when I try to open an individual email, I get this error message: «there was an error while loading the message. Please try again later. »
This is identical to a problem someone else was described in another thread. Unfortunately, nothing suggested you him seemed to work. I have BEEN cheated at the opening of a file attached to an e-mail immediately before this started, so I think it’s a virus or something. IN ANY CASE. I AM able to open the messages when I use the basic version of AOL. Initially, the problem seemed to be in Firefox, but I tried with Internet Explorer now also and it’s the same thing, and the basic version is accessible while the full version is still blocked.
On both browsers, after the error message, I can’t even click on individual posts to TRY to open another, and there are a few not-very-right boxes and the x and the things that appear on the screen that do not belong.
Please tell me that you can not do that, go away. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Firefox who did not. I also enjoy McAffee, and that has not changed anything.

The PES of planning that you applied contains a new version of the HspJS.jar so that could be a possible way of this error could have surfaced. For me personally, I think you’d better get everything patched up to the 11.1.2.3.500 PSU continuing at least before that it is a known problem in this version and there are the notes I have mentioned previously, to help patching.
It is clear from the error that there is a mismatch in versions of the Agent of ODI FDMEE with the Planning Server jar files. One thing you might be able to try on this front would be to save the current file HspJS.jar in the C:OracleMiddlewareodioracledi.sdklib House FDMEE ODI and place a copy of the same file of your planning server in the C:OracleMiddlewareEPMSystem11R1productsPlanninglib folder (or equivalent).
I’ve not personally seen this error before where the 500 patch had not been implemented well. Decide which approach you take will be up to you really, but I suggest to patch to 500 as best as possible and go from there.

I think that the functionality to generate a. Records error during loading data in the ERR file is supported only if there is a. RUL file being used.
I tried to get. ERR files to generate by using the following statement:
Import database PL_RPT. Reprting data data_file
«E:HyperionAnalyticServicesAPPPLPL.txt» to load_buffer with buffer_id 17
Error writing to «E:HyperionScriptsPlnLogsLoadlData.err.»
When I run this, if there are errors, it is not generated any file errors and stops the load.
I saw the technical reference Essbase ASO MAXL data loading and code syntax diagram indicates that it is supported.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Here are a few suggestions for trapping errors. I hope that one of them will meet your needs:

Ive had so many problems with windows, im at the point where I want to move to a mac and be done with it, because this whole thing is so stupid. I hate this computer.
Restore point:
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem.
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD ‘Recovery Centre’, as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
It’s a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

So this is a fresh installation of Oracle 12c ( 12.2.0.1.0 ) on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 box.
All has gone well …..
until now ….
When I log in as the DBA user: —
su — oracle
and attempt to access SQLPlus, I get this: —
sqlplus: error while loading shared libraries: /home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.2.0/dbhome_1/lib/libclntsh.so.12.1: file too short
I’d previously setup my Bash profile: —
vi ~/.bashrc
…
export ORACLE_HOME=/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.2.0/dbhome_1
export ORACLE_SID=orcl
export PATH=$PATH:$ORACLE_HOME/bin
if [ $?LD_LIBRARY_PATH ]
then
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
else
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib
fi
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
…
and was able to validate that I could see the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable: —
/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.2.0/dbhome_1/lib:
and that the offending library was there: —
/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.2.0/dbhome_1/inventory/Scripts/ext/lib/libclntsh.so.12.1
/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.2.0/dbhome_1/inventory/backup/2018-08-07_03-13-33PM/Scripts/ext/lib/libclntsh.so.12.1

/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.2.0/dbhome_1/lib/libclntsh.so.12.1
ls -al `locate libclntsh.so`

-rwxr-x— 1 oracle oinstall 0 Aug 7 15:14 /home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.2.0/dbhome_1/lib/libclntsh.so.12.1
Note that the library — libclntsh.so.12.1 — is actually a symbol link, which is OK,
BUT
that the original file is
zero
bytes in length
Following this: —
specifically: —
I relinked the binaries: —
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/relink all
writing relink log to: /home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.2.0/dbhome_1/install/relink.log
and now have this: —
ls -al `locate libclntsh.so`
-rw-r—— 1 oracle oinstall 71638263 Aug 7 15:13 /home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.2.0/dbhome_1/inventory/backup/2018-08-07_03-13-33PM/Scripts/ext/lib/libclntsh.so.12.1

which is better
And, even more good news ….

Error Description: sqlplus: error while loading shared libraries: $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied
One of the way to solve this error is to disable SELinux(as some people advice on the forums). But it is related to the security risks.
So I decided to use Linux provided solution, which is safer:
–After I ran the following command:
# sqlplus / as sysdba
There appeard our error and some tip on the screen, indicating the solution of this error, I want to share it with you.
The brief summery is to run the following command:
$ chcon -t textrel_shlib_t '/u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libcntsh.so.11.1'
Note: My $ORACLE_HOME=/u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1
The whole text in the message from Linux is the following , I think it is very interesting:
Summary SELinux is preventing sqlplus from loading /u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1 which requires text relocation. Detailed Description The sqlplus application attempted to load /u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1 which requires text relocation. This is a potential security problem. Most libraries do not need this permission. Libraries are sometimes coded incorrectly and request this permission. The SELinux Memory Protection Tests web page explains how to remove this requirement. You can configure SELinux temporarily to allow /u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1 to use relocation as a workaround, until the library is fixed. Please file a bug report against this package. Allowing Access If you trust /u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1 to run correctly, you can change the file context to textrel_shlib_t. "chcon -t textrel_shlib_t '/u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1'" You must also change the default file context files on the system in order to preserve them even on a full relabel. "semanage fcontext -a -t textrel_shlib_t '/u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1'" The following command will allow this access: chcon -t textrel_shlib_t '/u0/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1' ...
