So I got SWAT4 and trying to make it run at 2560*1440, but I for the life of me can’t find where the config files are. According to various wikis and forums, they should be in

/appdata/virtualstore/sierra but I don’t have a Sierra folder. In fact when I searched, there are no files and folders named SWAT apart from the installation folder, Start menu and desktop icons.

I’m running W7N x64.

Also, wide screen wiki says the game doesn’t support 2560*1440. Is there any way to force it anyway?

i uploaded this mod because i didn’t find any mod that simply add in-game resolution settings out there. With this mod, you don’t need to set Swat4.ini or Swat4X.ini file to read only anymore after changing custom resolution, because it is avaiable from in-game settings.

2) Manual (without download/install):

1) Open directory «ContentSystem» or «ContentExpansionSystem» on your SWAT 4 install location
2) Open file «SwatGUIState.ini» (Swat 4) or «SwatGame.int» (Swat 4 TSS) using Notepad
3) Find «ScreenResolutionChoices» then add your own resolution

Extract the zip file into your game directory (in my case — C:Program FilesSWAT 4 Gold Edition). Recommended using GOG version of the game (SWAT 4: Gold Edition). Make a backup before!

Как поменять разрешение в Dead By Daylight? (+как сделать 4:3)
1)жмешь win+r пишешь %appdata%
2)возвращаешься в AppData и идешь по пути AppData/local/deadbydaylight/saved/config/windowsnoeditor
3)Правой кнопкой жмешь по GameUserSettings и выбираешь свойства. Если внизу стоит галочка напротив «только чтение» убираешь ее,нажимаешь применить и OK
4)открываешь GameUserSettings и начинаешь менять значения.Должно быть:
•)FullScreen=true
•)ResolutionSizeX=сколько надо(1280 например)
•))ResolutionSizeY=сколько надо (720 например)
•)FullscreenMode=0
•)LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=0
•)PreferredFullscreenMode=0
5)сохраняешь,выходишь,жмешь правой кнопкой по файлу и в свойствах ставишь «только чтение»,потом применить и OK
6)заходишь в стим,жмешь по Dead By Daylight правой кнопкой,во вкладке «общие»,выбираешь установить параметры запуска и пишешь «-fullscreen» (без кавычек,только минус и слово)

Таким образом,ты можешь поставить себе любое разрешение,даже 4:3 и растянуть его на 16:9.
Я рекомендую использовать разрешение 1400 x 1050,некоторые другие игроки рекомендуют 1440 x 900

надеюсь мне ответят: Кароче скачал я какуето ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ которая конфиг мменяет типа для плюс фпс, теперь незнаю как вернутьвсе наместо, разрешение отрицательное вообще стало.Много чего испробовал но толку нет

удаляешь файлы из папки,куда кидал конфиг (как я понимаю, WindowsNoEditor),а после в библиотеке стима правой кнопкой по дбд-свойства-локальные файлы-проверить целостность файлов игры.

Как вы знаете, буквально все шаги, перечисленные выше, не будут работать вообще и не должны выполняться.

В эту игру нельзя играть в полноэкранном режиме, только в полноэкранном оконном режиме без полей, поэтому нет смысла менять строки

FullscreenMode = 0
LastConfirmedFullscreenMode = 0
PreferredFullscreenMode = 0

Также нет причин устанавливать командную строку запуска -fullscreen, поскольку это также не будет работать.

Вы также не можете заставить игру использовать другое разрешение, изменив строки ResolutionSizeX = и ResolutionSizeY =. Если вы хотите, чтобы игра использовала другое разрешение, то перед запуском игры вы должны изменить разрешение рабочего стола на любое разрешение, которое хотите использовать.

И, наконец, вы никогда не захотите устанавливать «только для чтения» в своих INI-файлах, так как это не может «заставить» игру использовать настройки внутри, просто останавливает перезапись файла.

Поэтому отмените все, что вы сделали, а затем просто измените разрешение рабочего стола на любое разрешение, которое вы хотите использовать в игре, а затем запустите игру и начните играть.

If you have a «SwatGame.eng» in your «System» folder edit that instead it seems to take precedence over the modded ini file, took me a while to work out till i compared gog vs my install and found some extra files with .eng extensions.
Once i edited that file it also created a «swatguistate.ini» with my exta resolutions , the above supplied one also has some junk info

I think I have the same problem you had. I have a «SwatGame.u» file. However, it seems to be encrypted so that I can’t change anything next to the «ScreenResolutionChoices». Did you have a problem like that and if you did, how did you get around it?

p.s. Maybe it’s not encrypted but some other problem. I’m not that good with computer stuff, I just assumed it since I have weird symbols in the file

Sorry for the very late reply. If it’s a new installation, try playing the game at least once (the settings file may not be there before).

Also, depends on the language you have, the file you’re looking for may vary (e.g. SwatGame.rus, SwatGame.eng, SwatGame.int). No, «SwatGame.u» is probably not the file you’re looking for.

Works with retail version, too. I have a russian one, so I needed to edit «SwatGame.rus» file, adding resolution options there.

Doesnt work! Even if I don’t try to add my own resolution which is 2160×1440 it still doesn’t show up in the in game drop down menu. Seriously annoying

It works for me but there’s missing texts now on the briefings interface.

Sadly, there is nothing much to do. The game is not designed for widescreen in the first place.

I think it’s related to the screen aspect ratio so the whole text (when stretched) will either be to big or to small to fit the «text box» and will «appear» as invisible.

I heard some people are able to fix it by tweaking the settings file, but it highly depends on the screen resolution and I have no idea how to make it work on my current resolution.
