Portfolio syncs successfully.

Actual behavior

Synchronization error. Internal process error 3221226505.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Be me.
2. Use Ledger Live to view bitcoin.

The screenshot shows the sync error. It also shows 0 confirmations on a tx from hours ago, which has already received many confirmations.

Ledger Live picked up on the tx as soon as it was sent out to me. The tx has since then been replace-by-fee’d. The tx ledger refers to now no longer exists, since the rbf created a new tx. I was hoping a successful sync would solve this, but I can’t sync anymore for some reason.

I see it updating Bitcoin’s USD price in real time. So why can’t it sync my transactions?

Earlier I was using a cable that turned out to be broken. It turned on my Nano S (so it seemed ok at first glance) but Ledger Live could not confirm that the Nano S was genuine. Then I used a brand new cable, which lets Ledger Live successfully confirm that the Nano S was genuine. So it’s a small chance that it’s somehow related to the cable.

Running as administrator did not help.

Adding Ledger Live to my BitDefender’s «allowed applications», which is a list of application allowed to make changes to a list of protected directories, also did not help.

It might be a glitch in our explorers or in internal libcore.

Sure but if people need to remove their appdata folder it’s not very convenient ^^

you should not have to remove appdata folder. You only need to go to Settings and do Clear Cache.

I also did the ledger live updates and did the clear cashe — it does not work. Any more ideas?

In my case the Live update helped. But after doing the update it did not work. I did not know why and then I noticed I have two Ledger Live icons on my computer display. Second one appeared after the update. One did not work and the other worked 🙂

I have the same Problem, Ledger Live does not synchronize since 5 Days i opend the Wallet the first Time since Month. I updated to Version 1.6.0 then it worked for a few Minutes until it did turn red again, then i updated to 1.20.0, cleared my Cache several Times, restarted my Computer (MacBookpro) 10 Times, and wrote 2 Mails to Ledger Support with no answer so far and it still does not work. That App for Desktop has that Problem since a long Time and it ocures again and again.

I wanted to activate my Account at BTCPayServer.org, normaly the Website does recognize a Ledger Wallet to generate the xpub-Key and API-Keys automaticly, but this does not work either with no Browser, probably because of the App is not synchronizing?

This way they will never bring more normal users into Cryptos, it is much to awkward to deal with all this problems, with Transfer, Apps, Supports, Programs, 10 Accounts etc.

Personally I stopped to use Ledger, so many problems when you keep it in an armory and you use after some months, I had about 5K STRAT and unable to synchronize on desktop and mobile, so I was blocked to spend money!

Ledger is quite cool, but this problem is not allowed for a device at 120+ EUR.

Edit: unable to sync after removing AppData, or reinstall mobile app, anyway it’s not possible to say to your customers, you have a problem? remove appdata, you sell products at a high price, it need to work not in alpha release.

Now i solved all Problems and i thougt i pass it on, also for other Users that look for Solutions in Future.

The «synchonization error» i did only get rid of by resetting Ledger Live: Settings/Help/Reset Ledger Live. Make sure you have your assets and Apps all saved on Hardware Device. Then you just have to «Restore» your Live App (not a complete new set up) by following the Instructions and set up your Accounts again, after that sychronizing worked again.

According the BTCpayserver: to transfer your xpub-key from your Wallet to your btcpayserver-Storeaccount (Derivation Scheme) you have to click on «Vault» instead of Ledger Wallet, and download a little Program from github (available for Linux,Windows,Mac). With that Program it worked to transfer the xpub-Key and BTC-Addresses to BTCPay/your store Account.

It gets stuck in a loop trying to synchronize while printing an error at the top

Afterwards it repeats changing the coin in the URL, it’s not specific to VTC.
I have tried clearing the cache to no avail. It used to work correctly but I am not sure what particular update broke this. Thanks.

Tech support wasn’t really helpful. I managed to get it working by using my phone as a hotspot without any other changes, so here is a description of what I believe the problem is:

• Ledger live tries to hit an API endpoint
• The request goes through CloudFlare, which offers DDOS protection
• If CloudFlare considers the request to be suspicious, it returns a HTTP 403 FORBIDDEN error

If the application could detect this case and open a Webkit window or similar, the user could solve the CAPTCHA and CloudFlare would let the request go through (and hopefully flag it as safe for future requests).

I also think people on #1035 could be facing the same issue.

ALGO synchronization not possible if opted in to ASA: YLDY #4226

Expected behavior

Should be able to add ALGO account to Ledger Live

Actual behavior

Ledger Live begins synchronization and immediate fails out with the following error.

Internal process error (3221226505)
Something went wrong. Please retry or contact Ledger Support.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Create ALGO address/add account
2. Opt-in to Yieldly contract(s) @ app.yieldly.finance (ASA ID: 226701642)
3. Remove ALGO address (or reset Ledger Live)
4. Try to re-add ALGO address
   Reproduction of issue does not require any YLDY to be present in address or staking to occur.

Can confirm.
ALL accounts (eth, btc, algo etc) on Ledger are unusable in Ledger Live once asset is added to an Algorand account.
Removing the asset from the account does NOT fix the issue, all accounts remain unusable, no sending etc., rendering the Ledger unusable.
(Ledger X, 2.32.2 and 2.33.1, Linux)

I am experiencing this as well. One other thing is that if I try to add my Algorand account and then close Ledger Live, it doesn’t reopen unless I go into task manager and kill it.

A workaround to get ledger back to function:

1. Link the Ledger ASA algo account to MyAlgo wallet.
2. Create a second MyAlgo wallet (‘add wallet’ button, new seed etc) in the MyAlgo wallet (this is non-ledger)
3. Move all ASA from ledger to new non-ledger MyAlgo wallet
4. Remove all ASA from ledger algo account (in MyAlgo wallet), make it a non-ASA account.
5. Reboot/kill all hanging Ledger processes.
   Ledger works again (at least for me), but ASA now in MyAlgo wallet only.

Sure, this will make Ledger Live work again. But it means your ASAs are no longer secured with Ledger hardware.

I am also having this issue. Hope it gets resolved in the next update. Seems like a lot of people’s funds are inaccessible.

Same issue here, it has been going on for months. Between this issue and ledger communication failing on Chrome, Ledger been a real mess. Please fix.

Temporary fix — install ledger live on a different device and do not add ASA support.
Reinstalling ledger live does not fix the problem because the config files are left on the OS after unistalling.

Same here following the steps of the original posting, this was on a new 2nd algo account I created.

Was I was able to get the account to finally re-add by enabling the «Experimental JS Implementations» option but now I can’t get any transactions to go through on either the original or 2nd algo account. New error message shows:

msgpack decode error [pos 1]: only encoded map or array can be decoded into a struct

@Ledger_Support I want to share the fix for sync issue in Algorand wallet. With current version of Ledger Live, ASA’s make account unsyncable, which is completely in line with what is described above. I had to open accounts in @myalgo_ wallet and delete ASA’s. Fortunately I didn’t have anything of value there, but this shouldn’t be this way. How can we expect mass adoption if we can’t make it more seamless and secure!

PLEASE FIX THIS! Need hardware solutions to work.

Спасибо за ваш ответ. Я действительно перечисляю выручку от майнинга на этот кошелек. Я только что подсчитал, а всего 424 транзакции. Это слишком много для приложения? Старый кошелек Ledger Wallet Bitcoin не имеет никаких проблем с ним и синхронизируется за пару секунд.

С большим удовольствием он работает с v1.1.9 с удалением coreSyncTimeout. Было предпринято несколько попыток, но он синхронизировался.

К сожалению, не для меня. Он пытается намного дольше без этого тайм-аута, но в конечном итоге все равно время ожидания с другой ошибкой тайм-аута. Я обновил билет 192247 новым журналом.

привет молодцы. во первых отличная работа. Теперь о жалобах — так что я добываю Zcash и накопил довольно много txns (613), если быть точным. Я все еще сталкиваюсь с тайм-аутами даже в версии 1.6.0. Я не понимаю технических деталей в этом комментарии, но не стоит ли иметь настраиваемые флаги / параметры, специфичные для майнеров, чтобы избежать тайм-аутов? Я бы действительно рекомендовал НЕ вставлять семя ни в какое программное обеспечение. Сид следует использовать только в аппаратном кошельке, чтобы он не был виден со стороны программного обеспечения.
Если вы используете свой seed, считайте, что все связанные с ним средства скомпрометированы, и используйте новый.
