the problem is that there is not one way to cause the error.
I once reported one where you would drink/consume anything in the stash/character (not in raid) and it would cause the error. I think it got fixed? But goes to show that theres lots of ways to cause item moving errors

I have the same issue, I tried to do what you suggested, but as my items are vertical and inside a weaponcase it seems to not work. Have tried to move the right, left, top, bottom item and do what you did.
Heres a screenshot of my 3 weaponcases.

Maybe remove all other items from the case, then put an item to the locked slots? I tried around a lot before I found that fix. It was a lot of trial and error for me.

Like he sorta mentioned in the middle of the video, the error is probably caused by (and only relevant to) an item which is already «infected» or flagged incorrectly, or whatever the ACTUAL bug is. So it’s probably not 100% reproducible, other than its almost certainly going to be related to a foldable item (stocks only?).
Probably if someone was really patient they could whittle it down a little further by trying to find or create an item with the bug?

It is 100% reproducable with the infected items. I am not sure what causes the ‘infection’ of that items in the first place tho.

I have the same problem, but my «infected» guns all in my stash all the way to the right side and I have nothing to move to make them reappear. Basically I’ve had these defected slots for the last 3 weeks… No answer from the support even tho I reported the bug three times…

If you unload a clip from a weapon, and place something in the spot where its being unloaded into, it’ll lock your weapon into a forever unloaded state. You can’t switch, can’t drop it, can’t do anything.

This is a workaround, not a fix for move errors. So the last few days I’ve been discouraged because I had some nice loot on scav runs, but when I would transfer the loot to my stash, I would get a move error and lose all of my scav loot. Then last night I was ready to just give up on scav runs and put my 4 mil to use leveling up and learning to get better at this game. I had a pretty nice run on woods and came out with an Adar with hammer optic and a suppressor attached, I went to sell the items and upon going to claim my 187K rubles from the sale, I got a move error and the money disappeared. Then today it also happened with my insurance returns. Through research I learned that any item transfers from the messages screen will come back and let you try again upon a re-log. So through messing with those transfers today, here is what I learned.
Right before all of these issues started, I went to buy 5 AI-2 med-kits, I accidentally fat fingered and bought 50. I noticed that all of those cheeses filled up the top of my stash like they should with the exception of the fact that the far right column didn’t fill up with them, they stayed empty, as pictured in the second photo here:
So what I learned by messing with my insurance transfers and money transfers that were failing today with the move error is this: The game is bugged to think that there are items already in the 5 cells starting from the top on the far right column. Or at least something like that, either way, I only receive move errors if I move items to at least one of these cells.
I have no idea why this is, but because of where my cheeses were located in my stash, every time I ctrl clicked an item from my scav or the messages transfers, it ended up in one of those cells and it then reversed the move and gave me the error. I have tested moving items in every other cell with no errors, it is only these 5 cells. I was about to give up on the game for awhile because every time I had a good run it seemed this would happen and I couldn’t keep scav loot or sell items. Anyways, I hope this helps someone else out there. I’ll see you all in Tarkov, keep your head on a swivel.

Escape From Tarkov has been updated to version 0.12.6 recently, and the patch cause quite a commotion. The new additions and improvements were shoved out of the spotlight by a plethora of problems. People are seeing a multitude of numbered errors, getting stuck leaving the game, and have had obscene amounts of money disappear. This guide will show you a list of all current Tarkov errors & problems – launcher backend error, leaving the game, error 260, error 1500 and more.
Error 260 usually pops up when you have trouble connecting to the authentication servers for the game. It usually occurs after patch updates when a huge number of players is trying to log in. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do, according to developers’ tweet “We are working on resolving this issue“.
Money disappearing from stash
There have been many reports of people losing cash, sometimes up to 10 million rubles at a time. There’s not much to be done about this. If you have the incident captured on video, you can contact support and hope they’ll reimburse you. Otherwise you’ll just have to accept the loss.
Moving error 228
This error seems to pop up in various situations. Some claim seeing it after losing all the loot from a successful raid, others say it prevents them from buying items from the flea market. It’s one of the most common errors post 0.12.4, and there’s nothing to be done about it.
Launcher backend error 1000
There have been a lot of these going around. They usually present themselves as errors checking launcher update. You might even get stuck in a lobby with no text in the UI. Patience is the only cure for now.
Stuck leaving the game
A number of folks have complained about being stuck on the leaving the game screen. Nothing seems to help with this – not even restarting your PC. You could try reinstalling the game, but it seems like this one will require waiting for the devs to save the day.
Unhandled exception Error reading JObject from Jsonreader
This is one of the rare issues that can be solved client-side. If you get this error message, it’s because of a corrupted file the game cannot read. Here’s what you should do if it happens to you:
- Open the Run dialogue (windows key + R);
- Type “%APPDATA?%” (without the quotation marks) and press Enter;
- Find the Battlestate Games folder and open it;
- There will be only one folder inside – open that one as well;
- Delete the settings file – it should be the only one there;
- Run the game, log in again and everything should work.
Error connecting to auth server – ERROR: 213
This error is usually accompanied by a crash after which you have to close the game through the task manager. If you end up being unable to launch it afterwards, the only thing you could try is uninstalling then reinstalling it.
Error 260
This one’s similar to the one above. People report getting stuck on a loading screen, then getting the error message after a few minutes. If you end up being locked out of the game, first try restarting your PC, then reinstalling the game.
Critical error 1500
This is one of the flea market errors. It usually stops people from posting items on the marketplace even though they’re at the appropriate level. Nothing to do but wait for a fix.
Error 201: unauthorized client or not selected game profile
Yet another error that we know nothing about, aside from the fact there’s nothing to be done about it. You’re not the only one affected, though. That must count for something.
Error 263 263 Bad account ID
No solution for this one either. In hindsight, maybe releasing an unstable, unpredictable patch into a world where dozens of countries are under quarantine and thousands of people are house-bound wasn’t such a good idea?

So, you have completed a number of raids and are injured. You get an “Items moving” error while moving the raids to your stash. You die and go to the healing screen. Then, you try to heal yourself; you pay the Rublos for that. You heal yourself completely, and then open your inventory to find that the Rublos you paid is still there and you haven’t been healed yet. Familiar? Here’s error 228 for you.

Escape From Tarkov: Error 228
The error 228 is synonymous to “Items moving” error, and shows up when you try to move your raids as a scavenger, to your stash. Several players of Escape From Tarkov are going through this, and try to find a solution. You complete a raid with so much effort, and then don’t get to store it. It’s heartbreaking. Some users are facing issues with healing along with this error. Healing requires you to use medicines and Rublos. The error 228 might be a issue with internal data processes like the Backend error in Flea Market.
There are a few possible fixes for this issue. However, the fixes are limited; not everyone is able to solve the issue with these fixes. The best way to tackle this right now is to report the bug through the game launcher. Anyhow, we are listing the possible fixes.
Fixes
- Trying running the game as an administrator: Right click on the Battlestate Games Launcher icon and click on Run as Administrator.
- Check the game files: Open Battlestate Games Launcher. Now click on your in-game name located in the upper-right corner. Select the Integrity check option and wait it to complete. Repair any files which indicates having a problem. Run Escape from Tarkov again.
- Try moving your raids one by one: When your raid is over, try moving the items one by one to one slot at a time. According to a few users, not all the slots in the inventory are bugged. So, you can keep moving until you get an error. The solution is trial & error, until you find the slots which are bugged.
All the fixes listed above are just possible fixes. So, if you aren’t able to solve the error with these, we urge you to submit a support ticket from here and also report the bug through your game launcher. The developers will come up with a fix soon!

Kernel Errors

Серверные:
213 error: Server DOWN, ошибка бэкенда сервера, никакого отношения к клиенту игры или вашему интернету и ПК не имеет, случилась какая то проблема на стороне сервера игры Таркова, так что починить ее могут только разработчики — ожидайте решения и фикса ошибки от команды разработчика.
403 — В часы пиковой нагрузки на выходных вы можете получить ошибку 403. Игра после этого может быть недоступна на короткое время. Команда разработчика работает над устранением этой проблемы! Если вы получили такую ошибку — просто подождите 5-10 минут и перезагрузите игру.
Авторизация
204 — Указанная недопустимая бэкэнд версия, решение: обновите игру, если не получается переустановите. (Версия на сервере не совпадает с вашей)
205 — Клиент не авторизован, решение: перезайдите. (иногда разлогинивает по разными причинам, в томч числе не зависящих от вас самих)
206 — Неправильный адрес электронной почты или пароль.
208 — Вход из этой страны запрещен для вашей учетной записи. (помните что игра купленная в РФ, не может быть запущена в Евро зоне или США, проверьте не включен ли у вас VPN)
209 — Код авторизации отправлен по электронной почте. Вы должны ввести код.
210 — Нет купленной игры. (Возможно ваша триальная версия игры закончилась)
211 — Введен неправильный код авторизации.
229 — Профиль заблокирован.
230 — Учетная запись заблокирована. Максимальное количество попыток авторизации достигнуто.
231 — Неправильная таксономия версии.
232 — Неверная основная версия.
233 — У вас нет доступа к этому серверу.
Общие игровые команды
200 — Неизвестная ошибка.
201 — Клиент не авторизовался или профиль не выбран.
207 — Недопустимый переданный параметр (отправлен в разные команды).
224 — Максимальное количество созданных профилей.
