  1. Выполнять вне зависимости от регистрации пользователя;

I have a problem with Task Scheduler on my Windows 2008 x64 Server.

The main problem is if I try to create a tasks from the Task Scheduler, when the dropdown box for ‘Configure for’ is selected as «Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000» — is selected, when I press OK to create the task an error pops up «An error has occurred for task ‘name’, The following error was reported: 2148073494» and the task is not created.

If I select the ‘Configure For’ box as «Windows 2008, Windows Vista etc» it creates fine.

Why this is a problem is I also can’t create scheduled tasks from any programs — ViceVersa or Sophos — both report permissions errors when creating the task. This used to work a few months ago.

I’m guessing this could be due to invalid registry permissions somewhere but I can’t ‘see’ anything wrong. Someone suggested

Any ideas are most welcome.

Thanks in advance 🙂

What do you mean by “NB task” that cannot configure for Windows 2003, XP? Can you create the same task in other computers successfully? What task are you trying to create?

Please make sure your task script is not surrounded with quotes in the Program/Script entry of Action tab.

For the other programs, I’m not sure how they work and what kind of permission they need. I suggest you contacting the vendor for further support.

If nothing would work after you’ve tried all that you can think of. I would suggest performing an in-place upgrade to fix the corrupt files if the server is not a DC.

Just an update to this — I finally figured out the problem and fixed it!!

It’s really simple, just go to «C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersMicrosoftCryptoRSA»

RENAME or delete the folder «S-1-5-18»

Try creating a Task -> The problem is now fixed!! You don’t even have to restart the computer, the S-1-5-18 folder is re-created automatically 🙂

If you convert the error code 2148073494 to hexadecimal, it’s 0x80090016, which means keyset does not exist. It occurs because the Protected Storage service is not started. Please start the service by typing net start «protected storage» at a command prompt and see whether the problem goes away.

Additionally, I don’t quite understand your meaning of “ I also can’t create scheduled tasks from any programs” . Could you please provide more information about it?

1. What kind of task do you need to create?

2. Does the user account that the task run as has the local administrator rights?

3. Are there any error logs in the event viewer for the task scheduler? Please post the error here for further troubleshooting.

If you would like to set a task to run a batch job with a non-admin account, please grant user read and execute permissions to Cmd.exe that the batch job runs under. To do this, please follow these steps:

Click Start, and then click Windows Explorer.

Locate and then right-click the Cmd.exe file. The Cmd.exe file is located in the %windir%System32 folder.

Click Properties.

Click the Security tab.

Click Add.

In the Enter the object names to select box, type the user name that the batch job runs under, and then click OK two times.
Note When you add the user, the user is automatically granted Read and Execute permissions.

Click Yes when you are prompted to continue.

Alternatively, you can also grant read and execute permissions for the Cmd.exe file to the Batch group, which permits all batch processes to run the command processor. To do this, please follow the steps below.

Unfortunately the protected storage service was already started, I tried restarting it but it made no difference. I also checked that it was running under the Local System account but that did not make any difference.

I tried changing the permissions of cmd.exe to everyone but this didn’t make any difference either — I can’t even CREATE the task yet alone run one.

NB task creation works fine when i select Configure for: Windows 2008 etc.. but when I select Configure For: Windows 2003, Windows XP thats when it fails to create.

As for other programs — if for example I go to Sophos Antivirus, Scheduled scans and try and schedule a scan, it then says «Invalid Permissions» when it actually goes to create the scheduled scan — which would normally create the job in task manager — so the problem is clearly related.

This also occurs in the Synchronisation program ViceVersa which has a «scheduled task» dialog — the task also fails to create — when it asks for the ‘username and password to create the account’ its says «invalid password» regardless of what user account (domain admin, local admin, etc) is used.

These programs work fine from our other Windows 2008 server, just this particular one is broken — i’d imagine i’d have the same problem with any program that attempts to create a scheduled task in task scheduler.

In the Event viewer the following errors are generated:

Task Compatibility module failed to update task «User_Feed_Synchronization-.job» to the required status 0. Additional Data: Error Value: 2148073494.

Task Compatibility module failed to update task «User_Feed_Synchronization-.job» . Additional Data: Error Value: 2148073494.

Question

I have created two tasks for Windows 7/Vista & Windows XP Systems to create a schedule task which will run a vbs file from a network share. I am getting below errors on the client systems events.

The computer ‘DailyTestSchedule-Vista-Win7’ preference item in the ‘Test GP1 <591cecc9-434c-4294-add0-fd91619bae40>‘ Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code ‘0x80041318 The task XML contains a value which is incorrectly formatted or out of range.’ This error was suppressed.

The computer ‘DailyTestSchedule’ preference item in the ‘Test GP1 <591cecc9-434c-4294-add0-fd91619bae40>‘ Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code ‘0x80070057 The parameter is incorrect.’ This error was suppressed.

I am trying to deploy these settings from my Windows 7 system where RSAT installed. Windows XP system have CSE installed. I have tried to enable Debug logging but not seeing Logging & Tracing option under «Computer ConfigurationPoliciesAdministrative TemplatesSystemGroup PolicyLogging and TracingConfigure Schedulled Tasks preference logging and tracing».

Tried below article also but still unable to see logging options.

Please refer to the following steps to check the TaskSchedule log on problematic Windows 7 client first.

a. Click «Start»->»Run», type «eventvwr» (without quote), press Enter.

b. In «Event Viewer» console, in the left panel, locate to: Applications and Services LogsMicrosoftWindowsTaskSchedule

c. Right-click «Operational», please ensure «Disable Log» shows.

NOTE: it indicates that the event log is enabled now.

d. Click «Operational».

Please check any errors there, you can also paste the errors here or send me the log for research.

For troubleshooting, you can try starting a single program, such as CMD, notepad with the same Triggers, Actions, Conditions and Settings as a test. What is the result?

In the meantime, you can also deploy schedule task via group policy using startup script. For more information on creating a task via command, please type “schtasks /create /?’ To deploy a script via group policy, go to Computer Configuration, Windows Settings, Scripts(Startup/Shutdown).

As you want to deploy the task to run the .vbs file from a network share, on the problematic client, please check whether you can access and run the .vbs file with the user you have set in the task schedule policy. Please also create a task manually on a Windows 7 and XP client to make sure the triggers and the conditions are correct.

Please also gather the following files for research.

a. On domain controller, click Start -> Run, type GPMC.MSC, it will load the GPMC console.

b. Right click on «Group Policy Result» and choose wizard to generate a report for the problematic Windows 7 computer and user account. (Choose computer and select the proper user in the wizard)

c. Right click the resulting group policy result and click the «Save Report…» => save report to save the report to a HTML file.

d. Repeat the same steps on a Windows XP client.

Upload these file to the following workspace.

You can upload the information files to the following link. (Please choose «Send Files to Microsoft»)

.The next windows task scheduler error we’re going to talk about today is “2147943645”. Any user can encounter this error while their task is running smoothly and this is mainly due to some settings that have been altered.

The error message received is “Task Scheduler failed to start “YourScript” task for user “yourUser”. Additional Data: Error Value: 2147943645.

Error view:

task scheduler 2147943645

task scheduler 2147943645

Some users try some trick to export and import the task again with a different name but still it doesn’t execute the task as required. It just shows that there is something wrong with your windows task manager configuration. The error message doesn’t say much about the problem. When you analyze the scheduled task you’ll notice that the task is still running but isn’t executing.

Task Scheduler Error 2147943645 – How to FIX

What’s The Cause Of These Error?

Most of the time it’s due to the change of user domain, IT management support can change your user access at any time. Initially, the task is running successfully and then suddenly you start receiving the error message. That means someone probably change the user domain. Let’s outline the possible fixes to the problem to help you clear the problem fast.

How To Fix Windows Task Scheduler Error 2147943645?

Change Your Configurations In Windows Task Scheduler

When you’re facing this error chances are you’re trying to run the job with the option “only when the user is logged on”. You need to change that from windows scheduler.

So go ahead and check windows task scheduler properties and under general tab you’ll notice a sentence that says ‘when running the task, use the following user account’. You need to change the option that says ‘run only when user is logged on’. The proper option you should choose is ‘run whether user is logged on or not’

If you’re still logged in as the configured user you don’t need to change this setting, you might need to try another fix which we’ll also share in a moment.

Other Additional Solutions:

If you however still like to leave the option as ‘run only when user is logged on’ you can try this trick that work for some people; Click on ‘change user’ and select yourself again, save your options and if you’re lucky it will work. If there are other people who are accessing your Pc, chances are someone had changed the SID, this happens especially computer accessed by IT staffs during management. Also if you’ve changed your login credentials this error will show up. You need to still go back and change to the new user id you’ve created in windows task scheduler.

So in a nutshell here is how to ensure the problem is fixed;

  • Make sure the account you’re trying schedule the task has full access for the file that need to be executed.
  • Run the task as the administrator.
  • Set your options to run the task whether you’re logged in or not.
  • Also set up the task in msc

These few fixes have helped a lot of people solve the problem about task scheduler error 2147943645 and we believe it will rectify the problem for you as well. So give them a try and let us know how things have worked for you in the comment box below.
