Can anyone tell me while this error occurs when I try to install Matlab? I have tried to eliminate tasks on Task Manager, reboot my machine and nothing seems to work.

I tried all the other options and none of those fixed my issue, and installing it into a new directory fixed the issue. I just added a 2 at the end of the proposed directory.

UPDATE: I just had a similar issue while updating Matlab on my Mac.

this is what I did, I deleted the folder from Applications and installed first Matlab and Simulink, that avoided the extract error.

After this error occurs I can no longer run R2020a. Also I tried to reinstall Matlab 2020a but the installer won’t work after the error occurs and gives the same error again.

I tried to uninstall the R2020a software using Windows and Matlab and the same error screen pops up.

Anybody have a solution.

Hi guys, I’ve been getting this message when trying to install Matlab R2020 — b on my new laptop:

I have tried downloading the installer several times, deleting the install folder, and selecting various (or none) of the extra packages to install such as Simulink and I always get this message. It always pop ups at around 30% installation but the folder is created in the main directory.
