PLS HELP! ERROR: THE STEAM ANTICHEAT SERVERS ARE NOT RESPONDING
Everytime i play on Multiplayer (even with hamachi) i get kicked from the server after 5 minutes. Everytime it says: The Steam Anticheat servers are not responding. what does that mean? What can I do? I searched it up in the Internet but found nothing. Anyone can help?

yep same here. please help asap.i found nothing on the internet as well. guess its a pretty new error? i dont have any kind of cheats but i dont think that is the problem anyways.

Рекомендую вам переустановить Steam.Его можно удалить в корневой папке C:Program Files (x86)Steam/steamerrorreporter вроде бы надо запускать его и он автоматом предлагает удалить Steam с компьютера исправлять акк бесполезно! Удалять Unturned тоже бесполезно. Просто переустановите Steam и все.

Потом открываем Install_BattlEye и он устанавливается в фоновом режиме.
Открываем игру и все работает))

Я переустановил стим не помогло! и как называется эта корневая папка?

Ever since the last unturned patch I’ve been getting this bug alot of times and restarting steam/computer will not get rid of it. I need help on how to fix this thanks. I’ve tried reinstalling unturned, validating install and repairing steam through cmd.exe.
Note : This is NOT my anti-virus, I used to play quite fine before this last patch.

EDIT..I see you made special mention how you think it is not your antivirus. So what antivirus are you using ? An issue can show up today from conflicting software that was not present before. Software changes. So new confilcts can come up.

Wrong. There are countless threads here about this VAC error and it IS on your end. AND McAfee is on the list.

The first step in troubleshooting this is to accept what I posted here.

Again, as I already stated that means NOTHING. You freely admit to the software here (the game in this case) changing, so an issue that you never had before can appear later.

And again, McAfee is on the list. Let me please just save you some time and headache here. If you are going to be unwilling to take steps to troubleshoot this that are suggested here by users that have experience with helping others actually solve this problem, then you are just wasting your time posting and asking for help here.

Why post and ask for help and then be totally unwilling to try what is suggested ? That is a total mystery to me personally and always will be.

Maybe because what you posted only helps with people unable to connect at all. I am allowed to connect to servers and play for hours straight but this ocasional bug will apear once in a while. I’ve tried reinstalling unturned, repairing steam etc but there’s nothing. What do you want me to do? It is already on the firewall’s exception list. That list you gave me is of no help at all because it tells me everything I already know.
Note : this only happens on unturned. I am able to connect to any VAC protected server using any other game and my steam has never been disrupted by my anti-virus.

That list that you say is of no help at all has helped here more times than I can count. Of course, sometimes there is software that is confilcting that is not listed there, as that list is old and needs to be updated most likely.

BUT, when something is already listed, then it is certainly suspect. I am not saying for sure it is your antivirus, but it IS on that list. So the first step is to get rid of anything on that list. That means to get an antivirus program that is not listed.

Also, there are Windows commands that you can run as part of the troubleshooting process. So have you done that yet ? It is my understanding that all four of those commands should fail. I think that info is listed on the support page.

Also, you should be prepared to post a screenshot here in this thread of ALL of your installed programs and be also prepared to uninstall any program that is suggested for you to uninstall.

Are you using ethernet or wireless for your connection ? Have you tried both if both apply to your system ?

Post your complete system specs, including OS.

It’s not necessary to uninstall any program/anti-virus just because of one game. If this *bug* cannot be fixed then I will simply stop playing the game.
I’m using Wireless, have no means to use Ethernet but my connection is pretty stable.

It’s not necessary to uninstall any program/anti-virus just because of one game. If this *bug* cannot be fixed then I will simply stop playing the game.

Thanks for clearing that up quickly. You have just stated that you are unhelpable here, as you freely admit to not being willing to uninstall a program that is KNOWN to be problematic with Steam, along with pretty much any program at all for that matter.

The proper way to go about troubleshooting anything is to remove all known possibilities. After all known possibilities are removed, then you move on to unknown possibilities. You have a known possibility there and it is McAfee. And you also freely admit here to not being willing to uninstall anything at all. So you really have no idea how wrong you perhaps are here in this case.

OH, and since this game is so «bugged», where are all the thousands of other threads here right now complaining about this problem ?

No, we only see users here post from time to time about this error because the error is on YOUR end. I am sorry that I personally cannot help you, since you don’t really want help in the first place and are unwilling to do the possibly necessary steps to accept that help.

And you admit to only playing using wireless. You have not even tried to play using ethernet.

If you are using 3rd party software that is on the Steam Support list of software that may «possibly interfere with Steam» THEN remove it, however, if this includes security software, use recommended ones or (for Windows) Windows Defender and Windows Firewall as last resort options — these are perfectly sufficient for protections unlesss you are purposefully downloading malware or dubious software or browsing illicit or inauthentic web content. In this guide, you will see how to fix your “irritating” workshop errors such as the “Asset bundle error: “bundlename” version mismatch”, “Asset Bundle Error: 4 of 5 installed”.

How to unsubscribe

First of all, open steam.

Click on your steam name.

Click on Workshop Items.

Click on Subscribed items.

Click Unsubscribe From All.

Click OK.

You’re done unsubscribing.

How to remove ALL workshop folders

NOTE:

Make sure to close Unturned before doing these steps, because the loaded mods are in your RAM and will not fix your problem if you didn’t close Unturned before doing these steps.

For easy access, make a shortcut to the 304930 folder and put it on your desktop.

Open steam.

Click either Library or Home.

Now that you’re at the Library, find and right click Unturned, hover Manage, and click Browse Local Files..

Great, you are now at the file directory! Click on steamapps.

Double click on workshop.

Double click on content.

Double click on 304930.

Select all by holding CTRL and A, then right click and hold shift then click Delete, so it dosen’t have to go to Recycle Bin.

You’re done deleting ALL mods.

How to remove conflicting workshop ID’s

For mods that causes errors, you don’t need to delete all folders. Just delete the folder with the conflicting workshop ID named on it.
How to find:
Go to the Unturned workshop directory like I told you how to delete all workshop folders.
Close Unturned first.

Let’s take Elver for example.

Type in there “metro”
Nice, you found the asset bundle name! To delete it, follow these steps.
Open the folder location.

You see that number thing near 304930? That’s the workshop ID.
If you search it on google, Elver will pop up.

Then click on the file ID on the directory. Delete the mod.

Client and server have different assets with the same ID!

The error:

Client and server have different assets with the same ID! (00000000000000000000000000000000)
This probably means an existing file was copied, but the mod creator can fix it by changing the ID.
Client display name is "Wood Boat", whereas server display name is "Деревянная лодка [200]".
File name "Wood_Boat" matches between client and server.
Client asset is from Workshop File (1662206041), whereas server asset is from Workshop File "[Migliore] ItemsPack 5.2" (2012765949).

How it’s caused:

Different workshop mods has the same file asset; however both mods have the same ID, making a conflict.
This can also happen with translated mods with the same ID, like wood boat to Деревянная лодка (wooden boat).

How to fix:

Delete the client asset workshop folder just like I told you.

Client and server disagree on asset “Asset Name” configuration.

The error:

Client and server disagree on asset "Scrap Buggy" configuration. (File: "Car_Scrap_2" ID: 3a89265619284aa6a67d1218a03a8e83)
Usually this means the files are different versions in which case updating the client and server might fix it.
Alternatively the file may have been corrupted, locally modified, or modified on the server.
Client hash is 8DD6E207E0CA564F8C8F58424FB1014A8E4F7729, whereas server hash is C97FA469E5F1E27F236F9BDA1F161DD9BDDA82DA.
Client and server agree this asset is from Workshop File "Hyperion Rust Vehicles" (2871728167).

How to fix:

Close Unturned.

Go to the file directory.

Find the workshop file that’s listed on the error. Let’s use 2871728167.
Delete it.

If it does not work, tell the admin or a server manager of your server that you’re joining to delete the corresponding mod into this directory then restart the server.

You were kicked from this server because: missing asset: “Item Name” File: “Item_Asset”

How it’s caused:

Client has a missing file, and server has your missing asset, causing this.

How to fix:

Go to your 304930 folder.

Delete all mods.

If you recognise the file from where it’s from, delete that folder instead.

Modified or corrupted asset: “Workshop Asset” File: “workshop_asset”

How it’s caused:

Either you tried to modified it’s .dat file, or the server modified the corresponding .dat file.

How to fix:

Go to your 304930 folder.

Search the missing asset name listed in the error. For this error it’s “workshop_asset”

Open file directory

Click the workshop ID on the directory, next to 304930.

Click 304930.
Delete that mod.

If it does not work, show the server manager you are joining from to delete the workshop ID you just deleted, at this directory.

Asset bundle error: “mapbundlename” version mismatch

This can vary on what mod you are having a error from.
mapbundlename is the bundle name of the map.

How to fix:

Delete the bundle name associated with the error code.
Example: Asset bundle error: “prosur” version mismatch
For custom maps that isn’t listed at the list below, follow the Elver example I told you earlier.
For curated maps that is listed here, find the workshop ID inside the 304930 folder and delete it.
Make sure Unturned is closed before deleting mods.

Since the error did not give a workshop ID on what mod it’s causing from, you need to delete your entire folder.

How to fix:

Go to the workshop folder.

Select all and hold Shift and click Delete.
