I just got the game and every time I try to start the prologue, I get this error and the game closes. I am using a script to lower the graphics because I have a low end PC, so the graphic card shouldn’t be an issue. Anyone know how to fix this?

Your card most likely shut down to protect itself from hardware damage caused by overheating.
You could try to play the game in windowed mode with a lower resolution and see if that gets the job done. Otherwise it’s probably time to get a better GPU.

Another possibility is that your GPU does not meet the minimum VRAM required to play this game. Frostbite engine pushes all assets into the VRAM during the loading screen so it can start the 3D mode on the fly. If VRAM is below required, buffer overloads and game crashes. To figure this out, testing the suggested method above procedurally with different resolutions is a viable option.

Another possibility is that your drivers are out of date.

This is highly speculative though. As OP pointed out, you should post the specs of your graphics card and how much DRAM you have.

Эксперимент провел со своей 470 -ой. Разогнал немного по чипу и по памяти. так ошибка стала появлятся во всех играх (Division, Deus ex md, томб райдер и т.д) Сбросил до дефолта и все снова стало идти хорошо ну кроме нашей любимой bf1. Так что я решил пока что забить на игру ибо вылеты даже редкие портят всё удовольствие от игры ((

Всем привет. Имею точно такую-же проблему. После 30-60 минут игры все зависает и вылетает со следующей ошибкой:

Проблема возникает только в режиме DirectX 11. Если включить DirectX 12, то этой проблемы уже нет, но есть другая: иногда начитает очень медленно работать меню (все действия, нажатия на кнопки и анимации происходят с задержкой в 10-20 секунд).

I have a big big problem with FIFA 20, it is giving me an error everytime !

What do I have to do to make it work !

I tried unninstalling the GPU’s drivers and install the newest again ! (Not working)

edit the fifasetup file in your documents folder and change directx_select to 1

Hi, you should change to direct x 11.

You can do this by going to C/Users/Username/Documents/FIFA 20

There open the fifasetup.ini and search for DIRECTX_SELECT = 1

Change it to DIRECTX_SELECT = 0

This will cause your game to run with DirectX 11 and these crashes will not happen.

So I changed all the hardware on my computer and did a fresh install on everything.
I can play a lot of games but when it comes to BF1 and other triple A games I get directx errors all the time like «drivers stopped working».
I contacted Nvidia but as always they are trying to make it seem like I have a faulty GPU when it’s not the case because I tested it on another system and it ran everything completely fine.

I saw this is a common issue among the Nvidia community and certainly isn’t a hardware issue.

The driver version?

Anyway, try some of the old drivers from the 382 batch. The new 384 isn’t exactly issue free.

. did you clear the CMOS?

Take above advice and use the stable drivers not the beta.

Okay I’ll give you more details.

OS: Windows 10 pro
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 3.20GHz
MB: Gigabyte AB350
Ram: 8144 megabytes corsair vengeance lpx DDR4 2400MHz
GPU: Nvidia Geforce gtx 1060 G1 (3GB version)

Everything is set to stock,the CMOS is clear and dxdiag showed nothing wrong.
Went through all this with nvidia yesterday as well.

This is the latest error message I got yesterday while playing FIFA.
The computer works fine,nothing freezes,just whatever game I am playing that freezes but anything else keeps being responsive.

Sounds like the errors I got when my powersupply was underpowering the GPU. Although that was on an old 7800 GT that had the extra plug for power.

Also make sure it’s properly seated since you did say you were messing with stuff. You might have to remove the back panel to push on the back side of the mobo to get it seated properly. Might also have to bend the back plate incase it’s sitting weird due to cheap case design.

Also is it possible you dislodged or disturbed the thermal paste on the gpu fan? Might be a good idea to check temps when the crash happens.

Double check the main power connector to the mobo as well, is it the dual type? Sometimes the extra 4-pin one will not like to sit in properly.

it looks like if the graphics drivers are broken, i’d suggest you to clean uninstall the nVidia drivers and all of it’s extras; restart your machine and make sure that the broken nVidia files are really removed.

Hello. I recently reinstalled Windows 10 as I installed a new motherboard, and everything seemed fine at first. I used to play Arma III and Battlefield without any problems before the reinstallation.
