Unexpected error on GUI loading

Hi all.

I had Analog 4 installed but went ahead and installed V.  On loading I get this error (see screenshot).  This happens in standalone or when loading into Reaper.

I’ve reinstalled twice, restarted etc but it’s having none of it.  Can anyone help?  :)

Reinstalled again and get this…  :(

The purchase of V Collection 9 really depends on getting this fixed. 
Unless 9 will work with Analog Lab 4?…

I suggest you contact Arturia support thru your Arturia acoount.

The error messages is not the same. But look like something is missing.

I don’t have that issue.

I can only suggest you back up your resources, and then try to uninstall both Analog Lab 4 and Analog Lab 5, then restart your computer and install both Analog Lab 4 and 5 again.

I can also suggest you run a Windows SFC/ Scannow as administrator as you can read about on the web. This can repair Windows files if that has something to do with it.

But i’m not sure any of this will help. It can be about other things. Basicly you’ll have to go through a troubleshooting to find the error. It look like it’s a local error.
I presume you are sure, that you have’nt removed/ moved anything.

So perhaps it’s easier to contact Arturia first. Perhaps they can get something out of the error messages.

Only applications made before Analog Lab 4 work in Analog Lab V.
But if you have uninstalled Analog Lab 4, then perhaps just install it again, and see if that helps. Analog Lab V can be installed and run alongside Analog Lab 4.

Thanks.  I’ve tried support but a response doesn’t seem to be forthcoming.

I’ll try a reinstall of everything as I haven’t yet made any significant setting changes.

Reinstall produced same errors.  :(

How often do Arturia support staff frequent this board?

Does V Collection 9 work fully in Analog Lab 4?  Would really like to buy Collection 9 but I now have doubts it’ll work.  Is opening the entire Analog V program in my DAW the only way to open Collection 9 components?

Sorry — I meant only instruments made before ALV work in AL4. So there are instruments in VC9 that does’nt work in AL4.

Arturia unfortunately only reply in this forum sometimes as it is.
Normally Arturia reply in a day day except in weekends for Arturia to reply. Perhaps it’s now 48 hours. But perhaps they are studying your issue.
You should have got a confirmation that you have a ticket with informations about reply time. If not then check your spam folder. Contact them again’ if you have’nt got a confirmation.

What do you mean with this? Are the error, when you try to open to edit an instrument? You need to own full applications to be able to edit them. If you don’t own full application, then you are limited parameters made available in AL.
Is this your issue? I do think it’s strange your applications does’nt show the normal opening view, and have wondered about it. So perhaps you can open ALV, but then you try something you can’t?
But still you should only get a message, that you can’t edit then.
You don’t have to have full applications open to edit inside AL. You just have to own and install the full applications you wish to edit.
I actually assumed you knew this, as you said you updated AL4 to ALV. But perhaps not.

Current status:

I installed AL 5 from the downloadable zip file (rather than from the Software Centre) and it now opens both in standalone and in my DAW.  I do have to run it as Administrator though.  Not sure why this works but at least it does!  Looks like there’s an installation issue of missing/unreferenced files when installing vis ASC.

I was just wondering that if I couldn’t get AL5 to work, would I have been able to take full advantage of V Collection 9 in AL4.  At least AL 5 seems to be working now so I might buy it yet. :)

Sometimes using the installer can give a different result. But the ASC install should work. I’ve installed through ASC.
Have’nt you installed on a Windows administrator account?

I must say, i’m not impressed with the informations you have been giving.
In example: ALV is a free update, if you own AL4. You made it look like you owned AL4. But apparantly you don’t.
Also you don’t answer questions.
I wonder about  this.

Okay, I’ll answer some questions:

No, as I mentioned, AL5 itself failed to load — either as a standalone or in my DAW — with the errors shown in the pics above.  I didn’t get as far as editing the individual instruments but I wouldn’t have tried of course s I would need the full V Collection.

As mentioned above I could not open AL 5.  It failed to run at all (with the errors shown above) either in standalone or in my DAW.

AL 4 installed just fine.  AL 5 would install (seemingly) but produced the errors shown above.  It is running now by opening it with Admin privileges and having installed via download, rather than ASC.  Not sure why it needs Admin privileges as every other program I’ve ever installed on my machine doesn’t require that.  :)

Looks like I’m up and running now so thanks to you and everyone who has helped.  Hope this made things a little clearer. :) :)

    Hi @BEAT16 , I hope you’re doing great!
    I’m having exactly the same issue even after installing the stand-alone versions.
    I noticed there is an option to install Machine and Komplete Kontrol, did you mean any of those by «standalone» by chance?
    I need the instruments working inside my Reaper DAW. I get the same errors outside of Reaper as well, any thoughts?

    I have not installed either the Machine or Komplete Kontrol version included in the V.R. installer yet. I have installed VST2s, VST3s and «stand-alones» only.
    Exactly the same error messages you took screenshots of and uploaded to this thread. Same ones as you had.

    I’m afraid I don’t know what the problem is. Try your luck with the bobdule versions:

    1.) Native Instruments Maschine v2.15.2 WiN-bobdule
    2.) Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol v2.7.2 WiN-bobdule

  8. Yes, I noticed that is a common problem for many plugins: they need to have every option selected during installation (AU, VST AAX , standalone) otherwise they won’t work

    Try installing the resouces in the default folder (do not change the default folders during installation).

    Yes, I actually did it as you advise, I think (at least with respect to the default locations where content is stored), the second time I tried installing, but it’s not working yet. I completely deleted any trace of the 1st installation in Local Drive, and even went to «Registry» and deleted any traces of Arturia there as well.
    So in your machine it’s working after installing aax, VSTs, stand-alones, Machine and Komplete Kontrol altogether?

    Sorry, I have a question, if I unsintall, say Komplete Kontrol and Machine, after completing the full installation, do you think the Arturia instruments will keep working properly? Do the stand-alones and VSTs/aax work fine in your machine?

    So, the first time I installed I changed the default location for the resources files, and then I had the GUI errors and missing sample erros. Then I reinstalled without changing the default location, but also kept the files in the previous installation folder (I had forgotten to delete them). Then I copied the contents of the previous location to the default one, substituting the files in the destination folder. But I didn’t delete the contents in the previous folder. No more errors. And no, I did not install the NI files nor aax (just vst2 and standalones). Hope it helps.

    Well, I don’t know how you got it to work, lucky you, but I’ve tried pretty much everything in my power, but didn’t work out. Even tried installing in safe mode, but without success.
    Such a disappointment, especially for the wasted time.
    It is the 1st time this happens to me with a V.R. installer. Guess there’s always a first for everything.
    Now, there’s no help for it, but to look for another 80s synth emulation collection alternative. Thanks anyway.

    *EDIT: Actually, I’ve just found the reason why some people get the error messages and some others don’t; this is for all those music creators who might at some point find themselves struggling with this installation. You need to create a symlink in «C:ProgramDataArturia» of the folder «Samples,» which should be installed in an external/separate drive (or not, depends on where you choose to install it), inside the Arturia «common data» folder (during the installation, I think it corresponds to the 3rd box you need to fill in). A symlink is basically a file created inside a folder, for example, that does not contain any information in itself, but leads to a different location where the actual content or data is. You can look up video tutorials on how to create a symlink, it’s pretty easy. Now I’m not disappointed at all, after all; no one cares, but I do.

    Revisiting this, just wanted to confirm Jo53x’s solution for me too.

    Everything was working with this install, then suddenly OP-Xa is no longer loadable. So I tried to uninstall/reinstall and when I did so, I might have messed something up. CS-80 V4, MS-20, OP-Xa, Prophet VS and Prophet VS no longer working (won’t scan in Reaper, so they don’t show in the list of plugins). Also, not a single VST3 works.

    So, I re-installed yet again… still same thing. This time I had a look in d:arturia (default install directory for program data when I run the installer, which I left as is) and also c:programdataarturia. First thing I noticed was that anything from Synth Collection that was working was set up as a symlink in c:programdataarturia, whereas anything that wasn’t working had it’s own «physical» folder in c:programdataarturia.

    So I deleted the folders for the broken VSTs from c:programdataarturia and then created symlinks to d:arturiaxxx for them.
    (Ex: mklink /D «C:ProgramDataArturiaKORG MS-20 V» «D:ArturiaKORG MS-20 V»)

    Lesson learned: be careful changing the program data location in the installer, as you can run into some fun with that.

    Everything works now, except VST3, for some reason. No big deal on that, but not a single VST3 shows up in Reaper for Arturia. Kind of odd to me. The vst3 files are definitely in a scanable folder, but none of them are showing in reaper-vstplugins64.ini, and none of them show as having plugins that failed to scan.. as though they were just ignored. If anyone happens to have a fix, that’d be appreciated.. but using just VST2 is fine by me.

Pigments unexpected error on gui loading

I have a project with Arturia Pigments (a VSTi) on one of the tracks. The track will play audio fine from the instrument, but if I try to open the UI of Pigments, Reaper crashes to desktop with no error message or anything. I’m on Windows 10.0.17763.

This seems to have started happening since I updated Pigments today, though I haven’t used it for a while so can’t prove that’s what started it.

Things I’ve tried:
— Pigments standalone — works fine
— Run plug-in as separate or dedicated process — same symptoms in all cases
— Default to generic UI rather than plug-in UI — doesn’t help
— Bypass audio while opening plug-in config window — doesn’t help
— Using my old Reaper install, v5.984 — same problem
— Uninstall and reinstall Pigments — no difference

Can anyone help me debug this? I assume it’s a problem with Pigments really, but Reaper crashing completely rather than containing the plug-in crash is not an ideal response.

It’s frustrating because Pigments is by far my best softsynth, so I’m a bit stuck without it

Откройте Системные настройки -> Основные > Язык и регион -> Приложения — “+”.

Выберите приложение и язык. Способ актуален для большинства приложений.

Язык в продуктах Adobe обычно выбирается на этапе установки самого продукта.

Язык в играх обычно меняется в настройках самой игры.

Бывают исключения. Не стесняйтесь искать информацию в интернете.

Вариантов много. Самый простой — использовать специальные утилиты для удаления приложений, например, App Cleaner & Uninstaller

Positive Grid BIAS FX 2 – обновленная версия гитарного эмулятора.

Positive Grid анонсировали выпуск новой версии популярного эмулятора BIAS FX 2. Программа получила улучшенный DSP движок, переработанный интерфейс, а также набор новых усилителей, кабинетов, педалей и эффектов. Движок BIAS FX 2 основан на AMP 2 и обеспечивает максимально реалистичный звук, который воссоздает динамику и характеристики различного гитарного оборудования.

Технология применявшаяся для эмуляций, точно моделирует поведение всех внутренних компонентов устройств, включая транзисторы, резисторы и лампы. Интересным нововведением Positive Grid BIAS FX 2 является функция Guitar Match, позволяющая применить к своему инструменту характеристики других гитар, с полным моделированием датчиков, струн и т д. По словам разработчиков, идея заключается в том, что в студии больше не нужно использовать несколько гитар для записи песен, достаточно применить Guitar Match, который преобразует звучание вашей гитары в другой инструмент.

В состав программы вошли 200 новых пресетов, каждый из которых имеет 4 набора сценариев, включающих в себя разные настройки, которые возможно мгновенно переключать. Данная опция может оказаться очень удобной для записи или живых выступлений. В плагин также были добавлены 8 новых процессоров, 100 усилителей, 100 новых эффектов. К другим нововведениям BIAS FX 2 относятся: поддержка MIDI автоматизаций, возможность копирования звука педалей и цепочек эффектов, плагин BIAS Pedal для создания собственных педалей, встроенный рекордер, набор кабинетов Celestion Inside, поиск по тэгам.

mac os 10.6.8 pro tools 10.0.1
1. Не загружает плагины от артурии — пишет что не может их авторизовать, якобы не вставлен айлок либо плагины повреждены. Тем не менее плагины прекрасно работают в других daw :( Все .dpm на своих местах. Все плагины лицензия
2. Со Spark отдельная песня — Spark VDM прекрасно работает подгружает все пресеты. А вот просто Spark подгружается но ни пресетов ни банков ничего
Подскажите где копать :)

Артуриевские RTAS плагины (за исключением Спарков и Брасса) не настоящие — єто на самом деле адаптеры к VST плагинам, которые обязательно должны лежать в корне папки VSTPlugins и нигде иначе.

У меня vst лежат в /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST

Peter Fogman, Нескромный вопрос. А у вас на айлоке лицензия точно имеется? а то похоже на симптом «недоломанных» плагинов — VST версию сломали, а про RTAS забыли. Кстати, если так, то не тот форум — здесь варез не обсуждают.

они регестрируются не через айлок а через elicenser
естественно лицензия имеется, я уже писал

Кстати тоже самое и с лоджиком в упор не видит лицензию, однако аблетон и студия прекрасно работают

потому что ложиковские AU плагины тоже не настоящие, а маленькие адаптеры к VST плагинам (или к VST3 у самых новых Оберхейма и Вурлитзера) — они у тебя случайно не в юзеровской ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/ лежат ?

я пробывал их ложить и в юзеровскую папку и в общую и в обе сразу :)

И так пол проблемы не стало :) Думал что подобного рода проблемы могли иметь место только на винде, когда ей пользовался сколько то лет назад.
Если проблема только у иностранцев значит дело в языке системы — действительно плагины ищут исходники в папке vst но через путь library….
Мак у меня не хак, спешал фор раша и всвязи с этим данная папка носит название Библиотеки — отсюда и проблемы. Сменил язык системы и вуаля.
Однако компом пользуюсь не только я и не все могут использоватиь его на английском
Возможно ли в про тулз както переписать путь к папкам с плагинами ?

удали скрытый файл /Library/.localized — тогда название єтой папки переводиться не будет.

  1. I just bought the Arturia V Collection 8 and did the install utilizing the Arturia Software Center (ASC) and all of the NKS capable plug-ins seem to have installed well except for the Jup-8. I can bring up the Synth GUI and select sounds that way but if I try to select sounds from the list in Maschine I get the «Jup-8 V3 Could Not Be Loaded» error. Of course this means I can’t preview the sounds either. I went into the ASC and deleted Jup 8 and did a reinstall and it did not help. I have also checked the Library in the Maschine Preferences to make sure the correct link to the JUP-8 was there and it was. I even clicked it to make sure it led me to the correct location and the sounds were all listed as they should be. Does anyone have a fix or an idea of what I can do to fix this?

  2. I do not have this bundle.

    But haven’t you earlier version of V Collection? Jup-8 V3 is not part of V collection 8. It has Jup-8 V4 — which is not NKS.

    If you had older version of V Collection, maybe earlier version of Jup-8 has not been uninstalled correctly. Or you need to make fresh library scan in Maschine (and/or Komplete Kontrol).

    Maybe that someone using Arturia V Collection 8 will know better…..

  3. I have Jup8 V4 and the VST loads fine in Maschine for me on Mac. From memory you can keep both versions on your system (I just checked, they are separate programs). As Kubrak says, it looks like Arturia are behind on providing the NKS files for the Jup9 V4 (they took a while when the OBX came out).

    I can go to the drop down and select the Jup 8V3 from the list and load patches fine as I still have V3 installed. I suspect you’ve uninstalled the V3 and the Maschine library won’t know. Getting rid of duplicate library content is not easy (for me). I recall working out where the library was and deleting by hand then rescanning everything. It was months ago and I don’t recall where I found the files.

  4. I do not have a previous version of Arturia Software. The version I installed was from the Download I was provided after entering my Serial and activation code. When I try to load it says Jup-8 V3. Interestingly the version that shows up in my Arturia Software Center is V4. I am working on MacOS Catalina Version 10.15.7

  6. Definitelly, Jup-8 (in Collection v8) is not NKS, so far. So, it should not show up in KK/Maschine NKS browser…. Probably a bug in Arturia Installer… Just ingnore it and download Jup-8 as non-NKS instrument.
