edit: just do like Chowder said. You can always get the video settings to High, but you will clearly see it’s not. There’s two places to add launch options (I don’t know which one they’re recommending, I’m assuming the one Steam supplies). The first you find through steam. Right click the item in your library —> properties —> general —> set launch options.
For the second way, to find your exe. That’s in your program folders —> steam —> steamapps —> common —> your witcher folder (I assume it’s called «the witcher», but rarely, devs’ll get creative and I can’t check as I don’t have it installed right now).

Дима, ну а чего тебе ещё надо то? Выжить больше ты из него больше никак не сможешь. Можешь конечно продолжать рыться на форумах, качать всякую хрень по увеличению производительности и прочее, но ничто из этого не изменит мощность твоего аппарата. Ты не найдёшь такого ответа, как «скачай такой-то файл, закинь его в нужную директорию, измени настройки и вуаля». Это бесполезно.
П.С. харе истерики устраивать и вести себя как быдло.
Дима, а как ты собрался обмануть игру, для которой нужен DirectX11, при том что твоя видюха его не поддерживает? Это не возможно же и дело тут не в производительности. С тем же успехом можно пытаться запустить пк версию на плойке

— Игра не будет автоматически сохраняться в те моменты, когда Геральт не может говорить (оглушение, нокдаун) – если такое произойдет, Геральт не проронит ни слова до самого конца игры (сюда нужно вставить зловещую музыку).
— Теперь вы не можете атаковать нейтральных персонажей, направляя на них вторую атаку в серии (бить слабых плооохо, мммкей?).
— Музыка Лютика не будет отдаваться эхом после двойной смены локаций.
— Теперь игра поддерживает испорченные файлы сохранения – она выходит в главное меню.
— Эффект смазывания движения не будет оставаться по окончании действия зелья Пурга после такой последовательности: выпил, сменил локацию, посмотрел заставку (спасибо, Пласт!)
— Окончательно исправлено исчезновение оружия из рук врагов.
— Трава и мелкие камни размножались – теперь поправлено.
— Исправлено получение урона от Стрыги при нахождении на большом расстоянии.
Графические исправления:
— Исправлены некоторые декорации уровней.
— Исправления в анимации атаки баргестов.
— «Черный оператор» более не появляется в некоторых заставках.

3. Игра не инсталлируется или очень часто вылетает.
Защита Ведьмака очень не любит программы типа CloneCD or DaemonTools. Просто их наличие на компьютере может привести к падениям игры. Если вы испоользуете скачанный из инета образ, смиритесь с тем, что спокойно поиграть вы не сможете.
4. Игра во время инсталляции выдаёт ошибку:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Command line option syntax error. Type Command /? for Help
Нужно почистить системный реестр. Если он «забит и заезжен», это может мешать установке данного компонента. Если чистка реестра для вас явление незнакомое и непонятное, то просто создайте новую учётную запись Windows и поставьте игру под ней.
Если не помогло:
1. Находим файл vcredist_x86.exe
2. Запускаем Total Commander, Far или любой подобный файл-менеджер
3. Запускаем пак с ключом /C, вот так — vcredist_x86.exe /C
4. В появившемся окне выбираем куда распаковать (временная папка), жмем ОК
5. Распаковывается, переходим во временную папку, там должен быть файл VCREDI
3 или что то подобное
6. Запускаем, оно ставится и ВУАЛЯ!!

Такое встречается у обладателей карточек от ATI. С помощью утилиты ATI Tray Tools включите Geometry Instancing

April 13, 2014 — The Witcher | Windows | Configuration
Non-Steam versions
This occurs when either you only have an integrated graphics chipset or when you have a computer using switchable graphics technology like e.g. nVidia Optimus.
To bypass it find:
(. )The Witcher/System/witcher.exe
and create a shortcut to witcher.exe. Right-click and open the shortcut’s Properties. In the Target textbox next to the path type: -dontForceMinReqs
Example:
(the path you chose)/System/witcher.exe» -dontForceMinReqs
or
(the path you chose)/System/witcher.exe -dontForceMinReqs
Make sure there is a space between the path and the -dontForceMinReqs parameter. Confirm with OK. Now you should be able to run the game from this shortcut.
Steam version
1. Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
2. Under the General tab click the Set launch options… button.
3. Type -dontForceMinReqs and click OK.
4. Close the game’s Properties window and launch the game.
Side effects
The side effect of using this switch is that texture quality setting won’t be usable anymore. Using this mod may help.

Not sure about windows 8; its an old game and I think we’re extremely lucky getting it to run on windows 7; try opening n the shortcut properties (right-click, choose Properties) and add the switch «-dontForceMinReqs» at the end of the Target text field.
Your Target should now read something like this (note where the double-quote marks are; they are important):
«C:Program Files (x86)The Witchersystemwitcher.exe» -dontForceMinRegs
that might work; but its the same as the launch commands so it might not man. Try it anyway; can’t hurt.

Thank you so much for this Advise IT DOES WORK FOR WINDOWS 8 i was about to be so upset and everything because i got witcher enchanted addition nd part 2 and it was giving me this error. i just got this pc so it should have worked fine so i thought but this really helped me thank you so much Im saved hehe

Just type -dontforceminreqs in the launch option and the problem should be solved, however, you can’t select higher texture quality by doing this.

For starters the system requirement check isn`t DRM of any kind it`s simply checking to see if the requirements are met and it generally occurs with laptops where there is no plug and play video cardLaptop cards are not the same as with their desktop cousins…you can have the same card number but they are not the same . Nowhere near as many cores or pipes and if they drew as much power as a desktop your battery would be drained in a matter of minutes.If your laptop has Optimus software …two video cards in your laptop one card would be Nvidia and the other card would be an Intel HD card which you have to tell the laptop which card is used for software and which card is used for gaming . There was a problem recently with the Optimus software in which it would not switch cards as it was supposed to . But the latest 270.61 verde drivers seemed to finally fix that issue .

Your right about the Drm part, But like drm It shouldn’t be there in the first placeand my laptop doesn’t have 2 video cards so thats not the problem i am trying to remove the system reqi can bypass and play it but as you saw above what the problem is
Yep i saw and to be quite frank the Intel gma is what it is . Which is very little in the way of «cards» . It just doesn`t have the cores or shader capabilities to do a very good job of playing the game . To be honest i`m surprised that it even plays the game at all . Which is why the system requirement check is there .

I am not here to argue about the system req i know the card isn’t exactly up to par. Instead i am looking for a way to remove the system check
To my knowledge there is no way to remove it .
Just out of curiosity: do you want to play TW2 on the same laptop with which you made those pictures of TW1 with the sysreq removed? Or did I get something mixed up here and these are merely examples from another computer? Because when you have that bad graphics on that oooold engine, what would you get with a modern game? Aside from an exploding laptop.

well what do you think?
I agree with the OP.These system-check sub-routines are notoriously inaccurate, especially for DTR gaming notebooks, many of which have been overclocked to a fair-thee-well. A warning may be OK to protect the developer from complaints, but the user should be able to select «play anyway» with all bells and whistles available to try.
