Месяц назад перешел на нового провайдер, предоставляющего доступ к Интернету через VPN по PPTP. Месяц работало все идеально, а с прошлой субботы VPN рандомно стало отключатся. И самое главное, переподключится уже невозможно. В окне VPN сообщение: Port Opened. Помогает только перезагрузка ПК. После этого только можно войти в Интернет обратно. Ни антивирус, ни файрволлов нет. Два раза переустановил систему (Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate). Мастера провайдера приходили два раза. Тестировали линию — проблем нет. Заменили коннекторы с двух сторон кабеля (в подъезде, где коробка и у меня в квартире). Заодно посадили на другой порт. Не помогло. Я уже начинаю думать, что проблема носить хардварный характер…
Сижу без роутера. Авто подключение ВПН осуществляется через Sheduler по способу описанному в этом блоге:

Подключение осуществляется от SYSTEM с высшими привилегиями.
Вот как происходит дисконнект:

Поднята служба Маршрутизация и удаленный доступ, клиенты подключаются и периодически само собой обрывается соединение, повторное переподключение выдает ошибку 800.
Приходится рестартовывать службу маршрутизации.
Проявляется с регулярность 1-2 дня. Клиентов удаленного доступа 3-5.
В журналах иногда такие сообщения (при этом на клиенте никакие настройки не изменяются)

В списке соединений вижу, что пред. сессии остаются висеть, т.е. несколько соединений от имени одного и того же пользователя. Обновления все устанавливаются регулярно

4) Связь с сервером удаленного доступа установлена пользователем Рома-ПКРома.
5) Пользователь Рома-ПКРома установил удаленное подключение VPN-Подключение, которое было прекращено. При прекращении возвращен код причины 829.

Windows 10 Always On VPN clients regularly drop VPN connection with error 829
Since the November 2020 patch updates, we have a number of Windows 10 1909 (64-bit) laptop clients that periodically drop their Always On VPN device tunnels. The Windows 10 clients report a RasClient error 829 in most situations, although we sometimes see error 828.
There is no sign of the wireless connections failing when this occurs.
The Remote Access server runs Server 2016. Tunnels are certificate-based IPsec VPN links.
There was a known issue with Windows 10 2004 clients that should have been resolved with the September 2020 monthly update. Given that we’re a few months after that patch update and on a different Windows 10 build, it seems unlikely to be the same cause.
Any suggestions for what might be causing this or how to clear up the issue?

I wanted to wait until I could apply the latest round of BIOS and device driver updates to one of our affected computers, but that did not clear things up. The connection out is via wifi. so there is no «modem» attached to the computer to drop the signal. There has been no sign that the wifi is dropping or that there is a network outage with the user’s internet provider, either.
There is no sign on the RAS server of the connection dropping, either. We have multiple clients connected to the RAS server, and most of them continue to stay online when we see a client drop its connection. I have found nothing logged in the event log on the RAS server to indicate the VPN link dropped at all.
We have the same issue in POC environment

The error 829 appears when the modem (in the case of dial-up or broadband connections) or tunnel (in the case of VPN connections) is disconnected due to a network failure or a failure in the physical link to the modem.
The following are possible reasons for the failure.
1)A problem in the network between the modem and the RAS server might have caused the basic dial-up or, in the case of a broadband connection, PPPoE connection, or VPN tunnel to fail.
2)Please check connectivity between the modem and the telephone/cable connection jack. If an external modem is being used, check the physical connectivity between the modem and the computer.
3)In the case of VPN connections set up over a wireless network, problems in the wireless network might have caused the connection to fail. Check the status of the wireless connection in Network Connections folder.
Some of the causes of problems in the wireless network are:
The wireless access point might have gone down due to loss of power or for other reasons.
The user’s computer might be out of the operating range of the wireless network or the RF signal strength might be weak.
4)The RAS server might have failed or restarted and closed the connection. Check the event logs on the RAS server.
5) Please also check the event viewer both on the VPN server and the problematic client if there’s any error event so that we can find more clue about this issue.

Hello All,
Recently I had to update my IIS7 SSL Certificate. Everything seems fine, but then I notice my VPN kept getting booted off with Error 829. I tried restarting computer, and recreating the connection but still same issue.
Finally i manually set the VPN to connect over PPTP and noticed under PPTP it connected fine with no issues. It is only under Automatic that I was having the issue.
I am certain it had to do with the IIS7 SSL Update.. But not sure how to resolve this?

The only difference I can tell between the two SSL cert is, the old cert is use SHA1 and the new cert is using SHA2. According to GoDaddy all new certs. is being issued with SHA2.

Here’s the specific error:
Error 826 (ERROR_EAPTLS_CACHE_CREDENTIALS_INVALID)
Message: EAPTLS validation of the cached credentials failed. Please discard cached credentials.
The authentication protocol negotiated between the client and server is EAP-TLS, which is a certificate-based authentication protocol. EAP-TLS requires valid certificates to be present on the client and server for authentication. This error indicates that EAP-TLS is using credentials cached on the client computer that are not valid, or that are expired or corrupted.
- Contact the network administrator.

Добрый день.
Образовалась проблема.
Есть RouterBOARD 750G r2. На нём поднят l2tp/ipsec сервер. Есть удаленный сервер. Есть клиенты в локальной сети.
Когда клиенты в локальной сети закачивают на сервер не большие файлы, то все в порядке и все отлично работает.
Но как только необходимо загрузить файл ~100mb происходит разрыв соединения, через 2-5 мин после начала загрузки.
Скорость в vpn ограничена до 3мб/с туда и обратно. На протяжении всей разгрузки большого вайла загрузка процессора не превышает 30-40%.
Подскажите, из-за чего может быть разрыв? -
А в логах что?
/system logging настраиваем вывод ipsec и l2tp. Смотрим. -
А что конкретно искать в логах?
Сделал вывод ipsec и l2tp.

А со стороны клиента? Судя по всему, именно он бросает трубку.

Похоже, что проблема в канале ибо со стороны сервера:

Только с этого компа? Или с других ПК и с других ОС та же проблема?

Вставлю свои 5 копеек.
Тестил разные ВПН на разныx прошивкаx. На последниx — периоические вылеты при нагрузке.
На более ранниx прошивкаx проблемы не было. Попробуйте поставить например 6.00, 6.20, любую до 6.29 и посмотреть стабильность.Последнее редактирование: 2 апр 2016

ccr1009-8g-1s На нём поднят l2tp/ipsec сервер подключаюсь из windows7 соединение держится часами , если не копирую большие файлы (больше 300мб) если копирую большие то при копирование соединение рвется , причем при создание туннеля в мак ос с теми же параметрами то все проходит нормально разрывов нет. Помогите в чем прикол?

Посмотрите, что там с настройками Keepalive у вас в свойствах l2tp-сервера. Попробуйте его увеличить секунд до 60-ти.
Вообще больше похоже на проблему винды, а в ней я не очень силен (( -
Keepalive равен 60 , я проверял на разных машинах c windows, результат один, как будто в винде ограничение стоит

поставил 6.34.6 bugfix не помогло около трех минут копирования больших файлов и соединение рвется , причем только в оси windows (2003,2008,7,xp). Где то в винде ограничение но не кто не знает где

Добрый день. Начал настраивать VPN L2tp и попал в такую же проблему. При чем win 7 держит подключения. А вот windows 10 нет. При чем держит соединения пока идет передача по vpn. В простое когда не используешь отключается примерно через минуту. В логах windows «Пользователь установил удаленное подключение, которое было прекращено. При прекращении возвращен код причины 829».
