Whenever I join a server after less than a minute of being on the server I lose connection and get booted of the server immediately, with an error message saying ‘Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player ‘phunly’ (for 0 minutes) … No Packet Flow’ (see attached file for full error message). Does any one know what this means and how i can fix it? Should i try opening in some other browser say Firefox.

Thanks for the replay, unfortunately the first link does not work properly for me, as, while it does take me to the PunkBuster page there is no download link on the page and no download starts when I open it. Is there another way to install this file?

Основным назначением службы является слежка за действиями игроков с целью предотвращения использования читов и ботов.

Служба PnkBstrA

Работает всё это в режиме клиент-серверной архитектуры, то есть клиент периодически собирает информацию о действиях игрока, шифрует и отсылает на сервер. Там данные расшифровываются и принимается решение — нарушаются игровые правила или нет.

  • Название файла: «Pnkbstra.exe».
  • Место размещения: «System32».
  • Приложение: «PunkBuster».
  • Компания разработчик: «Even Balance».

Ошибка «Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrA.exe»

Корректная работа приложения PunkBuster является обязательным условием для запуска многих игр в онлайн режиме. Иначе могут возникнуть ошибки, например «Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrA.exe», что переводится как сбой службы связи. Причин возникновения подобной ошибки много, рассмотрим самые распространённые.

  • Не соответствие требуемой версии клиента и игры.
  • Блокирование работы приложения антивирусом или файрволом (брандмауэром).
  • Инфицирование файла вирусом.
  • Повреждение файла или приложения в целом.
  • Возникновение конфликтов в профиле игроков.

По статистике приложение PunkBuster чаще всего устанавливается на компьютер вместе с играми «Call of Duty» и «Battlefield».

Лучшим способом для устранения ошибок является переустановка клиента. Для начала удалите текущую версию. Это можно сделать в настройках Windows «Программы и компоненты». Теперь необходимо найти установщик клиента. В первую очередь его стоит поискать в файлах инсталлятора игры. Например, в «Battlefield 4» он лежит по пути «/Battlefield4/_Installer/punkbuster/redist/pbsvc.exe». Для других игр воспользуйтесь поиском и ищите по названию приложения.

Если инсталлятор не найден, например по причине удаления файлов установки, то скачайте его с официального сайта разработчиков. После запуска приложения надо нажать на кнопку «Add a Game» и выбрать игру. Во втором поле укажите правильный путь к игре. Должно начаться обновление клиента. Если этого не случилось, нажмите в верхнем меню кнопку «Update PunkBuster».

Установка PunkBuster

После переустановки рекомендую проверить публичное разрешение доступа приложения к сети. Смысл в том, что брандмауэр Windows может блокировать работу процессов приложения с сетью. Это недопустимо, поэтому переходим в настройки брандмауэра.

  1. Открываем «Панель управления».
  2. Ищем «Брандмауэр Windows».
  3. В левом меню пункт «Разрешение взаимодействия с приложением или компонентом в брандмауэр Windows».
  4. Ищем процессы «PnkBstrA» и «PnkBstrB». Проверяем чтобы для них были установлены разрешения на обмен данными и в частных и в публичных сетях.

Настройка разрешений

Ошибка «Игра отключена: Punkbuster kicked player»

Ещё одна распространённая ошибка при игре онлайн «Игра отключена: Punkbuster kicked player». Это значит что сервер посчитал что игрок нарушает какие-то правила, хотя на деле этого может и не быть. Переустановка клиента в этом случае может не дать результата, хотя в первую очередь стоит попробовать именно этот способ. Так же предлагаются следующие варианты решения проблемы.

  1. Если установлен антивирус попробуйте отключить его и переустановить приложение в режиме администратора (правой кнопкой мыши на установочный файл и выбрать «Запуск от имени администратора»). Не включая антивирус посмотрите, появляется ошибка или нет.
  2. Если игра лицензионная, то в «Origin» в свойствах игры, выберите запуск в 86*. Очистите кеш «Origin», удалив папки:
    • «C:Users(user name)AppDataLocalOriginOrigin».
    • «C:Users(user name)AppDataRoamingOrigin».
    • «C:ProgramDataOrigin».
  3. Если при переустановке «Punkbuster» возникают ошибки, то следует их изучить и перевести, а после искать проблему.

Can someone please help. Ive scanned forums to no avail. I get the following message as a reason for being kicked from all PB enabled Call Of Duty 4 servers ;

Thats about the length of it. Hopefully someone can please help, playing CoD4 on the disabled PB servers is driving me nutz, I dislike hackers and only wish to play on a PB enabled site.

    Ever since the PB update a few days ago, I have been unable to play on a Call of Duty 2 PB enabled server.

    The reason PB kicks me is because my PnkBstrB.exe fails to initialize.

    I have already sent two trouble tickets and you have pasted the same reply which has been no help.

    I have tried manually updating punkbuster, and have the latest version. I have un-installed and re-installed PB and COD2 with the PBSVC, with no success. I have no firewall running so the files cannot be blocked.

    The PnkBstrA.exe file is constantly running within my Windows Processes but the PnkBstrB.exe file isn’t.

    I have the PnkBstrB.exe file within my PB folder and have tried opening it manually, however, the process automatically closes after a few seconds.

    Only the PnkBstrA.exe file is within my system32 folder if this has any significance.

    I was before recommended to Test Services within the PBSVC and the output from this test is below:

    Check the link out and read the info on the site, apparantly PB have a new way of updating its software now by using it as a service on your OS, PnkBstrA & PnkBstrB. The link will give you details of installation but if you get stuck i will be glad to help you if i can?

    I have a PB fix kit (if you like) that ive used when i was having probs with PB on my BF2142, i would gladly send it to you if it would help @ all, it has a readme file of the proper way to uninstall-reinstall the PB service and a kind of diagnostic to make sure that both of the services (pnkbstrA/B) are working properly?

    I was having major probs with it untill i DL this PB fix kit, afterwards everything was running kool, well my BF2142 was and i also play COD2 in and out, with no PB issues.

    Start -> Run -> services.msc

    PnkbstrA -> Automatic
    PnkbustrB -> Manual

    That’s how I fixed it :)

    Yup thats fine if it works, i did that but it still wouldnt work 4 me!
    This is what i did (finally);

    1. Click on the start menu, click on Run…. Type services.msc.
    2. Under services find PnkBstrA. Right click it and stop it from the option in the drop-down menu.
    3. Now double click it. On startup type select disabled.
    4. Repeat 2 and 3 for PnkBstrB.
    5. Go to your windows/system32 folder.
    6. Find the two files, PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe and delete them.
    7. Go to Program FilesELECTRONIC ARTSBattlefield 2142pb folder.(but obviously your playing COD2 and will have to amend it for that)
    8. Delete PnkBstrB.exe and PnkBstrK(if present).
    9.install PB again with the latest pbsvc
    10. Use PBsetup to update pb

  8. The steps you gave mafia_boy cant work because i don’t have the PnkBstrB.exe file within the services. I only have the A.

    Would you be able to send me the PB fix kit and talk me through if possible?
    I can’t think of anything else which would work.

  9. Punkbuster sent me this message for help.

    Note #4: Please make sure you allow the service files in security software like virus scanners and/or firewalls. You will need to allow/unblock the services PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe from your «C:Windowssystem32» folder. In case of doubt, manually add both to your firewall’s allow list. After the installation process you will only find PnkBstrA, so just make sure this process file is not blocked. Then try playing on a PB enabled server, in case of a kick, check if PnkBstrB was created and unblock it too.

    Anyone know how to do the line highlighed in bold, as a lot of people have commented on doing that?

  10. PB Solved

    Pay close attention here…..The only way to get the PnkBstrB.exe to work is to uninstall your present firewall Run the PBSVC …..Here http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsvcfaq.php install the required files from the download PBSVC «all you have to do in there is add the game your playing and run the program» then reinstall your firewall….. or reinstall the firewall first then run PBSVC and choose yes to allow…..took me a night of research to figure this one out lol
