Every time I try to launch the game I get this message:
Easy anti cheat installation folder has been encrypted

I tried reinstalling it with the .exe and verifying files on steam, neither works. I can’t find anyone else with the same problem.

I have it on another directory I use for games on another disk. Should I try reinstalling it on program files instead?
Edit: I just tried using Steam to move the installation folder to program files but nothing changed.

Um, I don’t know if I’m remembering right, but I think you need to add an exception in your anti virus program. Maybe… Lol

No luck, I use Windows Security, the one Win10 starts with, I put the game directory on exclusions but nothing changed.

It’s been awhile so I am not 100% if this is correct/accurate but back when the game came out I sometimes had to find and delete the easy anti cheat folder specifically out of the vermintide directory because of a similar warning.

After deleting that folder try validating, hopefully it should re-download the folder and fix the error.

Try repairing EAC. Use task manager to forcefully exit all Vermintide 2 processes: eac_launcher.exe, Launcher.exe, vermintide2.exe or vermintide2_dx12.exe. Exit Steam. Reinstall EAC: Warhammer Vermintide 2installersEasyAntiCheatEasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe — Repair Service. Start Vermintide 2 again.

Tried the repair option but it kind of does nothing, I even tried deleting the other EAC folder (the one outside installers) and repairing it to see if it at least says or does something but it does the repair as usual and finishes without problems, and it does nothing.
I’ll check the fatshark support page, I might get some clues. Thanks for that one.

Почему служба Easy Anti Cheat не установлена?

EAC недостает прав администратора. Для нормальной работы программе EAC необходимо обладать правами администраторской учетной записи. Если не выдать соответствующие разрешения, программа может полностью прекратить свою работу либо работать, но с ошибками.
Служба EAC отключена. EAC не будет выполнять возложенную на него работу, если на компьютере пользователя не работает не одноименная служба.
