Your hard disk drive is failing! S.M.A.R.T. message: Device: /dev/sdb, Self-Test Log error count increSMARTD_MESSAGE=Device: /dev/sda, 215575768401433 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors
Your hard disk drive is failing! S.M.A.R.T. message: Device: /dev/sdb, Self-Test Log error count increSMARTD_MESSAGE=Device: /dev/sda, 177517986857637 Offline uncorrectable sectors
А вывод smartctl -t long /dev/sda(восьмидесятка):

[SOLVED] OCZ Vertex 4 TBW?
stchman

9 years old, but seems to run well.
Here is the smartmontools output under Linux Mint 20.2

Lifetime writes on that drive seems to be a sector (512B) in size. 11198350898/1024/1024/2 = 5340GB = 5.34TB written, if I’m correct.
The Vertex 4 I believe uses Intel’s 25nm planar 2-bit MLC. I think this was rated for 5k PE cycles, which for a 256GB drive would be around 1.28PB, not accounting for write amplification, ECC, etc.
You won’t be wearing out the flash, it will die from something else.

hello all i've got a problem with smartctl failing to perform a short self-test on a OCZ Vertex 4 SSD (*) smartctl 6.1 2013-03-16 r3800 [x86_64-apple-darwin12.3.0] (local build) === START OF READ SMART DATA SECTION === Warning! SMART Self-Test Log Structure error: invalid SMART checksum. SMART Self-test log structure revision number 1 No self-tests have been logged. [To run self-tests, use: smartctl -t] any ideas? searching for OCZ "invalid SMART checksum" indicates this may be connected to a problem in OCZ drives that was already worked around in smartctl for earlier models, but it seems there is no workaround in place for the vertex 4 yet? thanks, julian (*): Drive model: OPZ-VERTEX4 Firmware version: 1.5.1 |

Occasionally the initial checksum of empty logs is not set properly. This harmless error might disappear when the first log entry is added. > > searching for OCZ "invalid SMART checksum" indicates this may be connected to a problem in OCZ drives that was already worked around in smartctl for earlier models, but it seems there is no workaround in place for the vertex 4 yet? There is no need to work around this issue because it does not affect smartctl operation. You could suppress the warning with -b ignore option. There were more serious log and self-test issues in OCZ firmware: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?95027-SMART-support-broken-in-ONYX-FW-invalid-checksums Please try "smartctl -t short ..." or similar and watch self-test log(s) and self-test execution status. Thanks, Christian |

Now, is it just a printf or should I get worried? What do I do in each case?
