Какая прекрасная погода на англ будет what a pleasant weather, НО В АНГЛ ЯЗЫКЕ АРТИКЛЬ a не употребляется с неисчесляемыми существительными?

Дело в том, что здесь перед weather стоит определение pleasant (descriptive атрибут) и оно «модифицирует» noun phrase «pleasant weather» таким образом, что неопределенный артикль ставится.

Vera, твоя ссылка касается артикля перед weather и там все правильно — но в рассматриваемом случае есть descriptive attribute «pleasant» который как бы меняет неисчисляемое weather на исчисляемую (погода сегодня, погода завтра…). Но это с точки зрения грамматики. Я вижу, что носители этот факт совершенно как-то игнорируют и это, конечно, нужно учитывать.

С точки зрения практики носители в большинстве своем считают, что артикль звучит странно — значит, так и нам нужно делать:

Многие неисчисляемые сущ, имеют исчисляемый вариант в специфических условиях, см. Time. Но все это оговаривается в словарях. У weather нет такого значения. Проверяйте по dictionary Cambridge online, значок U означает uncountable. А ошибок в интернете —море. Сайт, который я привела, не просто native speakers, а лингвисты.

С другой стороны, язык —система мобильная, и все начинается с ошибок, потом постепенно может стать нормой. Но не сейчас. Чехов кмк не относится к английской классике.

Японец ведь пишет, что носители сами используют с a. А используют потому, что нативно понимают смысл неопределенного артикля и считают, что фраза — ОК.

А при разговоре когда проверять?

А при разговоре вас в любом случае поймут, и стесняться ошибок не стоит, просто не стоит их повторять впоследствии. Что у нас все грамотно разговаривают на родном языке? А они чем хуже? Все это считается нормой. Лучше говорить хоть как‐то, чем стесняться ошибок и не говорить вообще, имхо. Но это другая тема.

Так это носители, походу, и используют часто именно a как пишет:

Тут проблема была еще с What — после него часто ставится неопределенный артикль перед неисчисляемыми сущ. (What a shame). Но у этого правила есть свои ИСКЛЮЧЕНИЯ и погода — одно из них. Поэтому сами ставить артикль не будем даже если обычные носители часто ставят.

Еще раз повторю: смотрите в словарь. У слов много значений, мы часто всех не знаем. Стереотип —shame uncountable, да, есть такое, а то, что я привела, другое значение и тут это слово помечено S singular, отсюда и артикль.значение по-русски не «позор», а «какая жалость»

Значит создателям словаря нужно задуматься о том, чтобы внести новое значение weather — исчисляемое, не просто погода, а погода сегодня, погода вчера, погода завтра. Насколько я слышал, в немецком погода — исчисляемое. То, что в английском она пока в словарях идет неисчисляемой не значит, что в будущем это будет так. Ведь многие носители уже дали в практике ей такое значение. А ЭТО И ЕСТЬ ЯЗЫК. Если все будут говорить a nasty weather словарям ведь придется отреагировать?
